Synopsis:

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision necessary to complete Project 679-10-103 Replace Roofs, Buildings 39 and 40 at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials, supervision, and transportation to perform work for this project. This project is to replace the slate roofs on Buildings 39 and 40 and includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary for removal of existing slate, underlayment, asphalt shingles, felt, other roof membranes, etc., and installation of new underlayment and polymeric slate shingles and certain other items on buildings 39 and 40. The estimated dollar value of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on/about January 10, 2012, with a bid opening date on or about February 10, 2012. NOTE: These dates are estimates and could be sooner or later. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238160 with a size standard of $14 million. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB).
