The project includes the Dry-Docking, Inspection, Repair and Painting of LD730 & LD731 Barges. The LD730 and LD731 are 125' long x 54' wide x 7' deep flat deck non-self propelled cargo barge owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District. LD730 and LD731 have leaks and very thin metal on the bottom edges of the hulls. The barges are located at and available for inspection at the Louisville Repair Station. Clean and inspect the LD730 and LD731 hulls. This includes all surfaces of the hulls up to the main deck. The contractor shall paint the entire, exterior barge hull surface, except for the deck surface and the entire new construction area, interior and exterior. This is a Sealed Bid Procurement and is Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated cost range for this project is $100,000 to $250,000. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 336611, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Repairs for LD730 should be completed in 45 days. The approximate issue date is 23 February 2012 and approximate closing date is 26 March 2012, 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
