This synopsis is notification of the Governments intent to modify is Job Order Contract (JOC) for Repair and Maintenance/Minor Construction of Real Property at Fort Drum, New York Contract Number W911S208D8002 to increase its maximum capacity by $11.5 million. This increase has become necessary due to unanticipated delays in the ongoing pre-award process for a follow-on contract. Without this modification, Fort Drum will have no contract vehicle in place to permit timely placement of necessary construction projects. A determination not to compete this requirement is anticipated to be made pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (C) (1) and FAR 6.302-1.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. No award will be placed solely on the basis of this notice, since synopsis of intent to place an order cannot be considered a request for proposals or offers. Responses to this notice will be used to determine if bonafide competition exists and whether a request for proposal is appropriate or feasible. Response to this notice must be made within 7 calendar days after the posted date. Fort Drums new competitive follow-on contract is currently being prepared by the MICC center at Fort Eustis, for a base plus four one year option periods. A sources sought notice has been posted to www.FBO.gov under solicitation number W911S009JOCDRUM.
