Idaho Panhandle NF - North Zone with work on Sandpoint RD, Priest Lake RD and Bonners Ferry RD.



Western White Pine Controlled Cross Pollination.



This will be a Requirments contract with orders issued for work per terms and conditions of the contract. A three year term contract. Estimated first work is April 19th, 2010 for installing insect bags.





Work consists of installing white mesh laundry bags or a fiberglass screen bag over conelets, installing flower bags, monitoring flowers for development, monitoring and collecting pollen, pollinating flowers, and removing (debagging) the flower bags after pollination in the Sandpoint White Pine Orchard , Canyon Creek White Pine orchard and Bonners Ferry Ranger District. All quantities are estimates.



The work will take place in trees that are between 40 and 75 feet tall. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, supplies, supervision, and incidentals necessary to perform all work safely and within the specifications. Climbing spurs to gain access into the crowns or rapelling from trees is not allowed.
