The contracting authority seek to appoint a Specialist Museum Designer and Installer in connection with the Phase 2 Works at Torrey Abbey Museum, Torquay. The initial works will be the development of a Stage 2 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund and the success of this bid is dependant on the Works proceeding. In this respect the Specialist Musuem Designer and Installer will need a proven record of similar recent projects.

Initial commission is for support services in connection with the development of a Heritage Lottery Fund Stage 2 Grant. if successful the appointment will include the design and installation of the works. Candidates may be required to participate in the achievement of social and/or environmental policy objectives relating to public sector initiatives. Accordingly, contract performance may relate to social and environmental considerations.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The contracting authority will allow a period of at least 10 calendar days between the date it gives notice to candidates of the decision to award to proposed agreement and the date on which it proposes to conclude the agreement. If, by midnight at the end of the second working day of the standstill period, the contracting authority receives a request in writing from a candidate to why it was unsuccessful, the contracting authority is required to provide additional information to the candidate.
That information must be provided at least three working days before the expiry of the ten days standstill period (though the standstill period may be extended if it is not possible to provide the information in time). Requests for additional information should be sent to the originator/distributor of the tender documents.
