Expressions of interest from contractor-led design teams are invited for a re-cladding scheme for a high profile building for Guy's & St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust. The East Wing building, a 13-storey tower, is a significant urban presence in the London cityscape, sitting directly opposite the Houses of Parliament. The competition seeks a re-cladding scheme that will provide a high quality aesthetic, as well as providing a long-term solution to address water ingress, and also to improve insulation and energy efficiency. The successful team need to display good integration, and an ability to generate an outstanding scheme and to see it through to completion.
