Road salt. This contract is for the supply of rock salt for use on the highway deicing in Coventry for winter maintenance purposes.
The City Council invites tenders for the supply of 6 mm brown ground rock salt. The value of the contract is expected to be approximately 480 000 GBP for the lifetime of the contract. The successful bidder will be able to supply the maximum tonnage within this budget.
The contract shall be for a four year term starting from 20.4.2012 to 19.4.2015 with a possible extension of 12 months.
Delivery is to be made directly to our Salt Barn within our depot at Whitley, Coventry, through pre arranged deliveries.
The City Council will endeavour to provide forward notice of quantities required within six monthly periods.
