Helmets.

II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:

A 4 year enabling contract for the manufacture and supply of flight deck helmets, pads and helmet scalp protectors. It is estimated that 21 710 items will be required over the 4 year period. The requirement is based on the estimated number of items required to support routine maintenance and operational deployments, for the UK Armed Forces and entitled civilians, however the MOD can give no guarantees of the mix or frequency of any demands. ISO 9001:2000 accreditations for production, design and development will be required. The PQQ will provide further details.

III.2.3) Technical capacity:

Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

As a minimum the Authority will require potential suppliers to be certified to ISO 9001:2000 (or equivalent) standards by the UKAS accreditation authority (or issued by certifying bodies that are accredited by an organisation that is a signatory of the International Accreditation Forum Multi-Lateral Agreement (IAF-MLA)) and to possess either directly or within their proposed supply chain the appropriate scope to undertake the work covered by the requirement. Respondents must therefore clearly identify an association with the service or product to be provided if this is not clearly identifiable within the scope of the certificate of registration.

In the case of a consortium or special purpose vehicle, provide certification details for all relevant member companies.
