Robert Gordon University requires a general purpose Scanning Electron Microscope capable of dealing with a wide variety of sample types from all branches of science and engineering (e.g. gunshot residue/glass (forensics), bacteria (biomedical science), microcapsules (pharmacy), corrosion samples (engineering)). The instrument will be used in the School of Pharmacy & Life Sciences for both undergraduate teaching and research and will therefore be operated by both novice and experienced operators.
