The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and supervision to provide a complete, finished, functional product meeting project Specifications on the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The contractor shall execute the project as shown in the Contract project XQPZ 08-0133, Specifications and Drawings. The project involves renovation of the mechanical and electrical systems at the Aero Laboratory, Building 2410. These systems include air handling equipment, air distribution systems, heat exchanges, pumps, hydronic piping and electrical distribution systems.

The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) proposed is 238220 Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC) Contractors. This requirement is set aside for competition among Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The small business size standard is $14 million.

The solicitation will be issued on FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov/. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, plans, mailing lists or associated solicitation documents will be issued from this office. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All interested parties must register on the FedBizOpps website in order to receive notification or changes and/or new postings to the solicitation. There will be no further pre-announcement of when the solicitation will be posted. However, the issuance date is anticipated on or around 13 August 2010 with a closing dates 30 days after issuance. A site visit will be scheduled approximately 10 calendar days after posting the solicitation.

Potential offerors are reminded that in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004 all contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to conduct business with the Department of Defense (DoD).
