MILITARY AIRPORT ROTATING BEACON

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-38.

This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. Submit written quotes (to include a price quote for ALL ITEMS) on RFQ# F3N7A00033A004.

Due to the overseas location of this solicitation, no small business set-aside will be used. The NAICS code for this requirement is 335129 (Other Lighting Equipment Manufacturing).

ROTATING BEACON SPECIFICATIONS:
- Compliance with standards of FAA L-802M A/C 150/5345-12 (current edition)
- ETL certification
- Two 33,000 lumen, 320 watt pulse-start metal-halide lamps
- Pulse-start lamps shall be fully bright in 3-5 minutes
- 20,000+ hour typical lamp life (4-5 years)
- Military airport rotating beacon shall have (1) white dual beam lens and (1) aviation green lens
- Motor shall be thermally protected
- Lamps preset 5 degrees above horizontal, adjustable 2-10 degrees
- 6 RPM rotation, 18 flashes/minute
- Weatherproof steel cabinet, powder coated international Orange
- Class I temperature range: -30 to +55 °C (-22 to +131 °F)
- Certified to wind velocities of 100 mph
- Operated with tell-tale relay, mounted in cabinet
