This is a pre-solicitation notice.The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking potential firms that have the capability to construct a project that shall include , but not limited to, the removal of shoal areas, repair of underminded outfalls, and repair of unstable slope areas along 9 miles of the Red Run Drain in Macomb County, Michigan. Also, the required work includes construction to correct a cross-connection between a 60-inch combined sewer and a 48-inch storm drain in Oakland County. This is a small business set aside. The contract will have a 6 month completion requirement. The estimated award date of the contract is 1 August 2009. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a small business size standard of $20,000,000 in average annual receipts. The project requires knowledge of construction to correct sewer line cross-connections, underminded outfalls repairs, failing slope repairs, and shoal removal. This project will be partially funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. The solicitation is anticipated to be available on or around 10 June 2010. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must register their firms at the Central Contract Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov. Requests for solicitation packages made by telephone, fax, or email will not be honored as contractors must download through www.fbo.gov website. This is NOT a request for proposals.
