The contractor shall provide board certified Podiatric Surgeon during the contract period to provide specialized Diabetic Vascular Foot consultation, clinic, and surgical care as needed at the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY.Tasks to be performed include the following: a. One half day of out-patient Diabetic Vascular Foot Clinic (4 hours). b. Surgical procedures as indicated in the Fee Schedule. The Clinics will also be staffed by Surgical Residents and/or other VA health care professionals; the patients that require admission will be admitted to one of the existing VA surgical services, staffed by Surgical Residents and other VA healthcare professionals. Operating room assistance will be provided by Residents or other VA healthcare professionals. Long term follow-up of chronic patients will be arranged with existing VA Surgical or Podiatry service. c. Inpatient consultations, within 24 hours of request Contractor shall be reimbursed in accordance with the Fee Schedule. Each inpatient Consultation must be entered into CPRS and shall be invoiced separately. Payment will not be made without entry in CPRS. d. Teaching of House staff and other health care professionals involved in the case of these patients. Please consult the list of document viewers if you cannot open a file.
