This is expected to be a sole-source acquisition. The equipment and software are proprietary and no other servicers are authorized for this equipment and/or software. The service contract is expected to be provided by Applied Biosystems, LLC.Our requirement is for a comprehensive 1-year service contract for our Applied Biosystems 3100 Genetic Analyzer, Serial Number 1604-012. The maintenance/assurance plan shall include: 1) Parts, labor and travel for remedial repair 2) No charges for planned maintenance visits. The number of planned/preventative maintenance visits to be performed is one (1). 3) Response time of two (2) business days or less after service call is placed for instruments. 4) Response time of three (3) business days or less, after service call is placed for remedial repairs. 5) Priority telephone and email access to instrument technical support. 6) Telephone and email access to application technical support. 7) Remote monitoring of monitoring software, which provides for notification to customer of instrument failures or errors that are reported by the monitoring software. The award for this requirement will be made pursuant to funds availability. The payment terms for this service contract are that it will be billed and paid monthly in arrears.
