Lot 1. Anti-vandal steel skin office units.
Lot 2. Anti-vandal steel skin storage units.
Lot 3. Anti-vandal steel skin ablution units.
Lot 1. Anti-vandal office units.
The Director of Engineering requests quotations for the supply and install Lot 1 10ft X 40ft Anti-Vandal Office Units to the various locations Ireland as listed below in the schedule of tender.
The following must be provided for in office unit:
— all cabins should have a steel outer skin with shutters on the windows/doors with secure locks,
— all cabins must have a 30 minute minimum fire rating,
— lighting 6 no 1.2m fluorescent strip lights (3 no on each aisle),
— 4 no. twin sockets to e.n. standards or equivalent,
— 1 no. antivandal steel external door fitted with 5 lever motice lever and key. position of door to be agreed with the contracting authority,
— internal solid core door with 400mm x 400mm glazed vision panel,
— windows: 2 no. openable double glazed pvc. position of windows to be agreed with the contracting authority,
— internal fuse board,
— external finish 2mm mild steel grade 275 colour nato green 285,
— 4mm industrial linoleum floor cover throughout,
— ‘u’ value of floor min 0.3w/m2k,
— 1 no.storage heater 1.5kw to 2kw located in center of cabin on wall. room stat to control temp between 13c-16c to be linked to the heater,
— internal width of cabin to be min of 2.96m,
— vinyl face internal wall finish,
— class ‘o’ material on walls with min ‘u’value 0.35w/m2k,
— all floors must be capable of supporting normal office filing cabinets, tables and office traffic, that is all floors must conform to the weight category specified for commercial buildings in accordance with bs 5950 & bs 6399,
— warranties: 18 months parts,
— lifespan: 25 years.
Lot 2 ANTI VANDAL STORAGE UNITS.
Single Supplier Framework Agreement to Supply and Install dependant on requirement up to 10ft X 40ft Steel Skin Anti Vandal Storage Units to Various Locations in the Defence Forces Ireland. Power and utility services will be provided to the front door. Ground surface will be hard standing requiring pads in some instances. Any clarification on this issue can be obtained by contacting the nominated points of contact within this document.
The following must be allowed for in each container:
— all floors must be reinforced with additional supports to facilitate the storage of heavy documents. must supply details of additional supports,
— lighting 6 no 1.2m fluorescent strip lights (3 no on each aisle),
— 1 no. twin sockets to e.n. standards or equivalent,
— 1 no. antivandal steel external door fitted with 5 lever motice lever and key positioned at shorter end of the storage unit,
— internal solid core door with 400 mm x 400 mm glazed vision panel,
— internal fuse board,
— external finish 2 mm mild steel grade 275 colour nato green 285,
— 4 mm industrial linoleum floor cover throughout,
— ‘U’ value of floor min 0.3 W/m2k,
— 1 no.storage heater 1.5 KW to 2 KW located in center of cabin on wall; room stat to control temp between 13c-16c to be linked to the heater,
— internal width of cabin to be min of 2.96 m,

Each of the units should be designed as a storage facility with additional floor supports. The assessment of tender will review all tenders under the tender assessment criteria as laid down in this document. Inclusion of any items not mentioned in the specification should be separately priced and will not effect the competitiveness of your tender offer. The erection of the units will be on a hard standing to be identified on the ground by the client.

To supply 1 no 10’ x 20’ anti vandal ablution unit male/female split into two units of 10’x10.
— 2 no. external doors with lock. entry doors into unit at each end of the 2 400 mm sides (door size 900 mm approximately). one entry door for the male end and one entry door for the female end,
— 4 no. high level double glazed pvc windows 690 mm x 290 mm with obscure glass,
— 2 no. showers inc anti slip tray & curtain,
— 4 mm non-slip linoleum floor cover throughout,
— 1 no. high pressure pump,
— 1 no. insulated copper tank,
— 2 no. electrical heating element,
— 1 no. 1.3 m3 pvc holding tank located internally,
— 4 no. cubicles with toilet bowls and cisterns,
— 4 no. toilet roll holders,
— 4 no. hand wash basins,
— 4 no. over sink mirrors,
— 2 no. under sink water heater,
— 2 no. electrical hand dryers,
— 2 no. 1.5 KW pull cord infrared electric heaters,
— 4 no. 1.2 m fluorescent lights (or lights with equivalent lux to 1.2m fluorescent lights),
— floor drain,
— complete with plumbing fittings compatible for connection to the local water supply and sewage system,
— complete with electrical fittings compatible for connection to the local power supply,
— vinyl face internal wall finish,
— class ‘O’ material on walls with min ‘u’value 0.35 W/m2k,
— all cabins must have a 30 minute minimum fire rating,
— external finish 2mm mild steel grade 275 colour nato green 285,
— 2 no extractor fans,
— U’ value of floor min 0.3 W/m2k.
Important: All electrical appliances must meet current installation standards for use in an washroom/ablution environment. Tenderers must supply drawing of the proposed layout.
Alternative options should be submitted in addition to the above options.
