II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:
The development will consist of the construction of 99 apartments, in two joined buildings, one of five and the other of seven storeys, communal facilities, 3 no retail units, car parking, landscaping, new street railings and ancillary site works. Building Floor Area: 9,241sqm.
The new development adjoins a 4 storey over basement protected structure and will reinstate the street frontage to Middle Gardiner Street and Temple Lane North.
The works include the management and supervision of the building works and design of elements of work where a performance specification is provided such as external glazing, bathroom and kitchen pods, pilied foundations, structural elements and building services for which collateral waranties may be required.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 15 000 000 and 20 000 000 EUR.

The Contracting Authority will not be responsible for costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidate, whether or not a final contract is awarded.
The Contracting Authority reserves the right whether or not to invite or accept any tenders.
Formal award of contract will be subject to the approval of Dublin City Council. The Catholic Housing Aid Society undertake to hold confidential any information provided by applicants in response to this notice, subject to the Society's obligations under law. The Society may however share information received with relevant Government Departments, which are subject to the Freedom of Information Act, which came into force on 21.4.1998.
Applicants should state if any of the information supplied by them in response to this notice, is confidential or commercially sensitive and should not be disclosed in response to a request for information under the aforementioned Act. Applicants should state why they consider the information to be confidential or commercially sensitive.
If applicants consider that none of the information supplied by them is confidential or commercially sensitive, they should make a statement to that effect.
It is a condition precedent to the award of the contract that the successful tenderer will provide:
(1) A current tax clearance certificate or in the case of a non-resident contractor a statement of suitability on tax grounds from the Revenue Commissioners of Ireland,
(2) Evidence showing that they are in compliance with the registered employment agreement (Construction industry pensions assurance and sick pay).
