This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7(16U.S.C.2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003, to reflect sec.323 of J.J. Res.2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec.347. This is a commercial acquisition that has been tailored to fit the Government's method of trading goods for services.
This project will include forest thinning of sawtimber and nonsawtimber on approximately 193 acres, grapple piling on approximately 48 acres and 4.3 miles of road maintenance.
The project is located 5.5 miles north of the City of Portola, CA. There are two areas to the project, Corral is located on the west side of Lake Davis off FS road 24N10 and Hopper is located on the east side of Lake Davis, right of Grizzly Road/County Road 112.
The estimated solicitation issue date is July 30, 2010. NOTE: There will be a prebid meeting. The location, date, and time will be in the solicitation.
