Synopsis:

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, South Carolina, intends to issue solicitation RFQP03031000034, for the requirements of: QUARTERLY COMMON FARE/KOSHER ITEMS. This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination, and the delivery date will be by APRIL 15, 2010. Deliveries will be made to the Federal Correctional Institution, 501 Gary Hill Road, Edgefield, South Carolina 29824. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government reserves intends to make an all or none award on the kosher meals, but reserves the right to make multiple awards on the remaining items. The government will award to the responsible quoter whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered equally. The solicitation will be made available on or about MARCH 2, 2010, and will be posted to the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fbo.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, and award information will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Quotes will be due TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 2010 by 2:00 pm EST. All vendors will be required to submit a religious certification letter and a USDA inspection certification letter along with each bid. A statement of work will be included in the solicitation package outlining all of the details and food specifications. The Government reserves the right to make payment using either Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or the Government Purchase Card. Each offer is required per 52.212-3 to complete their representations and certifications via the On-line Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
