Bei dem Bauvorhaben handelt es sich um den Neubau eines Operationszentrums am Universitätsklinikum München Großhadern. Der Baukörper ist rechtwinkelig, ca. 160 x 53 m, Höhe ca. 22 m, die Bruttogeschoßfläche (BGF) beträgt ca. 39 600 m2, der Bruttorauminhalt beträgt ca. 168 400 m3.

Das Gebäude besteht aus 2 Untergeschossen, wobei UG 2 nur in Teilbereichen ausgeführt wird, Erdgeschoß, drei Obergeschossen und einem zurückgesetztem Technikgeschoß (4.OG). Die Bauteile über dem Untergeschoß bilden eine geschlossene Randbebauung mit 3 bzw. 4 Lichthöfen.
